I went to an interview at a small office. The receptionist was playing loud pop music. I was given a clipboard with an application that had weird questions and sent to a cramped waiting room with not enough seats and a TV playing hip hop videos. After I turned in the application, I waited for the CEO, Edwin Jacques, to show up. He talked a lot about the business and the interview process. I got to the second round, which is a full day thing they didn't mention until later. I was on time for the second interview, and it was the same loud music and crowded waiting room. A half hour passed, and the CEO showed up. I didn't stay for the day-long 'shadowing' because my gut told me it wasn't the right place. The loud music and videos might be to seem young or to weed people out.

The hiring process was pretty simple. After applying if they feel you are a great applicant they will call and email you asking when is a good time to meet for a interview. During the interview you meet with the CEO who is very passionate and personable a few questions to see if you fit the role. If you do fit the role they will call you back alerting you that you will move on to day 2 of the interview which is shadowing/overseeing. Day 2 will consist of being paired with a more experienced trainee where they will teach you what activities you will be overseeing during the job. Furthermore, you will learn a lot about the job and at the end there will be a test to see how much knowledge you retained from the day. If you pass day 2 then you will have q final interview the same day and get your results on whether you passed or not.

I got an email saying my resume was looked at and I had to pick a time from a list. When I got to the interview and filled out some questions, I found out it was for a commissioned sales job. I asked the admin if that was right and she said yes. I told her I applied for a corporate trainer job and she said that was something I could work toward. I gave her the questionnaire and left. I know Mr. Jacques will respond but I wanted to let people know not to waste their time on a misleading interview. They should know it's a commission-based sales job.

The interview was very comfortable and there was a good atmosphere as I waited in a room with positive music playing. I met with the CEO, after filling out an initial questionnaire, and he was a very social and nice person who helps make you feel welcome. Overall I would say that the interview was easy because the people there made it seem like you were already a part of the team.
