First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Bombardier.
Project Manager
The hiring process was straightforward. I had one in-person meeting involving a manager and an HR representative. They asked practical questions to make sure I was a good fit for the role and the company. The questions focused on my previous experience, my abilities, and what I hope to achieve in my career. I initially applied through the company's online portal.
- Can you describe a time when you had to deliver unfavorable news about a project's progress that you were managing?
Project Manager
I applied for 3 positions and got a call the next day for an interview on Wednesday. When I arrived, they told me none of the positions were available, which felt unprofessional. Then they talked about another job for about 30 minutes. They said I'd have an answer by Friday but didn't. A few days later, I got an email saying I lacked experience for the job I applied for online, which contradicted what they told me in person. I emailed the recruiter for clarification. She said the email was for the online application and that the feedback for the job we discussed was positive, and I'd have a second interview soon. Two weeks passed with no word. I followed up at a Jobs Fair, and they said the team leader was busy but I should hear back in a week. It's now been three and a half weeks.
- What motivates you to seek this particular role?
Project Management Intern
First, you'll introduce yourself. Then, they'll want to hear about your past experiences and projects. After that, you'll be asked some situational questions. They'll also want to check your knowledge about the company.
- Can you share an instance where you managed deadlines?
