Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Bombardier.
Intern
I had two different interviews for different positions. Interview questions and job experience varies a lot depending on your team, as well as benefits. One was standard scenario interview questions for around 30 minutes, the other was an hour of the interviewer asking me very specific questions about my resume and why I made particular life decisions.
- What would be the most important features to include if you were to build an app?
Intern
A panel of three engineers from the team, with different seniority levels within the company, asked me questions about my experience and some behavioral questions. The environment was very friendly, and they explained the position I was applying to well before I had to answer any questions. Knowing French is a very good bonus.
- Tell me about a time when things didn't go as planned and how you handled it.
Intern
First, there was a 15-minute phone call to chat about your background and the role's duties. Then, a 45-minute meeting with the team to talk about your previous work, technical knowledge, and interests.
- Can you discuss your past experience?
- Can you answer some technical questions?
- What are your passions?
