Software Engineer
So there were like 2 phone calls and then 1 in-person. The first one was just a regular recruiter call, no tech stuff. Then the second phone call was technical, but like, pretty basic cuz you can't do much on the phone. The in-person interview was pretty intense, like 5 different groups of people asking about my career goals after graduation and some basic algorithm questions.
- Can you write a function to check if a string is a palindrome?
- What's the runtime complexity of that palindrome check?
- How would you most efficiently implement the palindrome check?
Software Engineer
Had some brief technical questions, like about data structures, and also some questions about my personal projects and other stuff I've done before. I went to the office and met with someone from the team who interviewed me.
- Can you explain data structures?
- Can you solve coding problems?
- Tell me about your personal projects.
Software Engineer
This was a terrible experience with Boingo. The recruiter and employees were irresponsible. I had an interview where the interviewer asked me basic Java and networking questions, and at the end, said they'd schedule me for the next round. The recruiter was unresponsive, taking 5 days to reply to emails about scheduling. I almost gave up hope. A month and a half later, the recruiter contacted me about scheduling the next rounds, asking for my availability. The next day, they sent a message admitting it was a mistake and they had already selected someone else. I wish they wouldn't play with candidates' emotions and make them wait.
- What are the fundamentals of Java?
- What are the networking fundamentals?
- Can you tell me about your past experiences?
