Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Boehringer Ingelheim.
Senior Manager
The interview process included an initial screen with a Business Intelligence (BI) representative, followed by a one-on-one meeting with the hiring manager. This was then succeeded by a panel interview. During the panel, I presented an exercise that was given to me beforehand, and then we discussed competency-related questions.
- What do you consider to be the three most critical qualities for success in this position?
Manager
The process was professional, and the schedule was always presented and adhered to. The interviewers were friendly and interested. The treatment was appreciative. The process went through three rounds. The atmosphere was relaxed with questions about previous activities, interests, and motives.
- Can you explain your career choices at different stages and why you chose a particular direction?
Management Trainee
Got invited to an online interview pretty quickly after applying, and got fast feedback too. The next stage was supposed to be an Assessment Centre, but I didn't get selected, and there was no explanation, just an automatic rejection. The interview itself felt a bit rushed, like the interviewer was just going through a checklist rather than having a real conversation. Also, questions about salary and working conditions were apparently off-limits for this stage, which didn't leave the best impression.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- Tell me about your motivations.
- What are your expectations?
