I went through a few rounds for a buying position. The process included making a presentation and then a final interview. It took me a lot of time to get the presentation ready, so I thought the interview would be professional. But that wasn't the case. One interviewer told me to 'hurry up' because she had to go to another meeting. This was when I had only one slide left. It felt disrespectful that I was rushed through a presentation I put a lot of effort into. If they didn't have time, they should have planned it better instead of pressuring me during the presentation. It made me feel uncomfortable and like the interview was just a formality. Also, if they thought my experience wasn't a good match, they should have let me know sooner instead of making me prepare a presentation and attend a final interview. The whole experience gave me a bad impression of their hiring process and how professional they are. My advice is to respect candidates' time and effort. If you need presentations, make sure interviewers have enough time for them and don't rush candidates. Be upfront if a candidate's experience doesn't fit the role early on.

The interview had two parts. The first part was pretty casual, with the buyer and someone from the team who was leaving. The second part was again with the buyer and the head of the department. I had to do a SWOT analysis and present it. I also had to look at a garment and give feedback on its fit. I never heard back after the second part, so I guess I didn't get it. It would have been good to know, especially since I took time off work to prep for it.
