Presentation Behavioral

I went through a few rounds for a buying position. The process included making a presentation and then a final interview. It took me a lot of time to get the presentation ready, so I thought the interview would be professional. But that wasn't the case. One interviewer told me to 'hurry up' because she had to go to another meeting. This was when I had only one slide left. It felt disrespectful that I was rushed through a presentation I put a lot of effort into. If they didn't have time, they should have planned it better instead of pressuring me during the presentation. It made me feel uncomfortable and like the interview was just a formality. Also, if they thought my experience wasn't a good match, they should have let me know sooner instead of making me prepare a presentation and attend a final interview. The whole experience gave me a bad impression of their hiring process and how professional they are. My advice is to respect candidates' time and effort. If you need presentations, make sure interviewers have enough time for them and don't rush candidates. Be upfront if a candidate's experience doesn't fit the role early on.

This was, hands down, the worst interview experience I’ve ever had. After an initial call with Talent Acquisition and a Zoom interview with a member of the design team, the final in-person interview is where things really fell apart. The team arrived late, didn’t bring basic materials like pen and paper to take notes, and barely asked me any questions. It felt like a one-sided conversation, and I’ve never felt so uncomfortable or undervalued in an interview setting. I was also given a week-long project to complete, which I spent both time and money on. Considering that, the lack of engagement during the final interview was incredibly frustrating and, frankly, insulting. When I asked about the company, no one shared anything positive or enthusiastic about working at Boden, which says a lot. The whole process was disorganised and unprofessional, which wasn’t what I expected from a company like Boden. I wouldn’t recommend applying, and I certainly wouldn’t want to work somewhere that treats candidates this poorly. If this is how they approach interviews, I can only imagine what working there would be like.

The interview process was really organised and precise, with straightforward questions. The interviewers were super kind. They also asked me to prepare a SWOT analysis on the current range of mini or womenswear. They also asked if I was able to commute easily and explained the working hours and workdays being four days in the office and the rest is work from home.

Had an initial zoom call and then went in for an in person interview which involved a presentation task and a lot of tough questions. I spent two days working on a presentation and they just tore it apart as feedback and rejection. A supercilious group of three against one person led the interview and they couldn't even pay attention to my presentation until the end. They gave me horrible feedback, saying I lacked confidence and passion. The instructions for the presentation were vague and unclear, and they basically wanted me to lay out the range for them before offering me the job. It's clear this team lacks creativity to do this themselves. Avoid this place at all costs, it's a toxic environment I'm glad I dodged.
