The interview process was pretty straightforward, mostly behavioral questions. They really focused on why you want to work for BNY and what you know about the company overall. Nothing too complex. Make sure you're solid on your resume and understand the role. Mine was just the initial screener, so I'm not sure about the actual interviews.

The interview process started with a quick ten-minute phone call with HR that went well. The following week, I was invited for an in-person interview with the hiring manager and two team members, scheduled for 11:00 AM and expected to last an hour. I was also asked to prepare a PowerPoint presentation about myself. A few days before, HR sent a reminder, which was a nice touch. Upon arriving at the BNY Mellon building a bit before 11:00 AM, security tried to confirm my interview time but couldn't reach the hiring manager or the other interviewers. After about a ten-minute wait, one of the team members called back and mentioned my interview was scheduled for 1:00 PM, contradicting my confirmation email for 11:00 AM. She apologized for the mix-up, and I assured her it wasn't her fault. After getting my ID badge, I went upstairs. Around 11:10 AM, a team member met me and led me to a conference room, explaining she had an important conference call at 11:30 AM and we'd have to keep the interview brief. As I was finishing discussing my background, the hiring manager joined, reiterating the urgency due to her upcoming call. They asked a few standard questions and then quickly ended the interview by 11:30 AM, without any apology for the scheduling error. Due to the time constraints, I couldn't deliver my presentation. This was the most unprofessional interview I've ever experienced, wasting significant time and money on preparation and travel. It provided insight into how BNY Mellon operates, and I'll avoid them in the future. My brother had a similarly bad experience with them a couple of years ago, where the hiring manager wasn't present for his interview. They seem to have a pattern of disregard for candidates, likely due to their corporate size.

Basically, easy questions. The whole interview was quite relaxed and chill, lasting about 45 minutes.
