Had an online interview for the Client Service Associate role. They seemed to decide pretty quickly that I didn't have the required experience, which was partly true, but it makes me wonder why my CV was selected in the first place since I laid out all my experience. They asked a lot of scenario-based questions. I never heard back from them afterwards, not even to confirm I didn't get the job.

I applied online and then had a phone call with a recruiter. She was really helpful throughout the whole process, and I felt like I could trust her, especially since I was making a career change. We talked generally about job openings and what I was looking for. Then, I went in for an in-person interview. I first spoke with one person, and then I met with two hiring managers who both had positions open. They interviewed me together and explained the differences between their roles. After that, I interviewed with their team lead. Once I got the offer, I had to take a drug test within 48 hours and give information for a background check, which included my fingerprints.

Applied through my college's career services, and then HR contacted me (BNY uses Aerotek for recruiting). Had a quick chat with an Aerotek recruiter about my resume, customer service experience, and scheduling. After that, I got a second interview at BNY Mellon with the call center manager. It was about 45 minutes, and we toured the call center. The manager asked questions during the interview, so be ready with your own questions about management, training, the co-op program, and BNY.
