Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at BNP Paribas.
Associate
The interview process was great with fast responses. The interviewers were professional and organized. The office is beautiful. I would recommend working here. There were three rounds in total, one with the hiring manager and two more with senior management.
- Can you describe your previous experience at your last bank?
Senior Associate
It was good, very interactive and excellent. The questions were purely on subject point. They gave me enough time to answer everything without any hurry. The interaction with the AVP was really good, we spoke about my personal life, professional life, habits etc.
- Do you have knowledge of basic fund accounting?
- Can you explain transfer agency?
- What is your understanding of mutual funds?
Associate
The interview process was pretty long, with significant waiting times between rounds. The interviews themselves were relatively easy, except for the team interview which was quite lengthy. During that discussion, they heavily emphasized that the work could be monotonous and expressed a belief that I might get bored and leave. I found this reasoning to be weak. Hiring or rejecting candidates should be based on concrete evidence, not assumptions.
- Do you think you would quit if the job became boring or repetitive?
