Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at BNP Paribas Securities Services.
Account Manager
The interview process was pretty standard and straightforward, though it spanned several months from October until my start date in February. The interviewer was friendly and put me at ease. They asked a few questions about the bank and its background.
- Could you explain your interest in this specific job opening?
Account Manager
It was a two-stage interview process. The first interview was with HR, and the second was with team leaders. It was a pretty standard process, no surprises there. The only hiccup was that the company has multiple offices in Lisbon, and the two interview stages were held at different locations. This meant I had to wait a bit, and my interviews started about 10-15 minutes late, but that's quite common in Lisbon from my experience.
- How would you handle a situation where underperforming colleagues negatively affect your own performance?
Account Manager
The interview was accessible, with some technical questions, parts in Portuguese and English. They were very friendly, accessible, and respectful. I never felt uncomfortable or pressured in a negative way. A good company to start a career.
- Why should I be the one selected?
