I sent in my application online and then got this first technical test thing, had 9 days to finish it, scored like 95%. After that, they emailed me for an interview, saying it would be a '30 mins discussion about your expertise and background'. When the interview started, though, the person said, 'we won’t talk about your cv but I prepared a list of questions in different topics and will start with them..' The whole thing ended up being 1 hour and 20 minutes. I never heard back with any feedback, just got an automatic rejection, which is weird 'cause I usually get those right after the first screening.

First, they'll look at your resume to see if you fit. Then, a recruiter will give you a quick call to check if you're interested and meet the basic requirements. After that, you'll do some coding challenges to test your skills. Then, engineers will interview you to check your coding and problem-solving abilities. There's also an interview to see if you're a good cultural fit and have good soft skills. You might have a final interview with some senior folks. If all goes well, they'll give you an offer and you can negotiate it. Finally, there's onboarding with paperwork and orientation.

I interviewed with BMW recently, and it gave me a good understanding of the company and the role. The team was professional and helpful, making sure I understood the job well. Even though I learned a lot and enjoyed the process, it wasn't the right match for me in the end. I'm still thankful for the insights and the opportunity to interact with such a well-known company.
