First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at BMW Group.
Project Manager
It was a 2-stage interview process. The first was a 30-minute online call, likely for general fit. The second was a 60-minute on-site interview where they delved deeper to assess fit. The interview was informative, friendly, and the interviewers were well-prepared. I received a quick response afterwards.
- Tell me about your 5 strengths.
Project Manager
I was invited for an interview. It consisted of a total of 4 participants. Department head, internship supervisor 1, internship supervisor 2, and myself. It was an hour long and classic questions were asked (see below). First I had to talk about my resume, then about my studies and my grades, then came questions about personality and about BMW.
- Classic interview, were you asked about strengths/weaknesses?
- Good Excel skills are important for BMW, were these also asked?
- The grades were looked at.
Project Manager
The first interview was about 30 minutes long and directly with the department. They talked more about the role and asked for my background to see if my experience and interests match the position. It seemed to go well because they said I would be a good fit for the team, considering my characteristics and experience. The interview was on a Thursday, and I was told to expect a response the next day or the following Monday at the latest. I waited until after that period to send a follow-up email because I didn't hear anything back. It's been over a month since the interview, and I still haven't received any feedback, which surprised me because I expected them to be at least more professional.
- Can you tell me about your previous roles?
- What made you apply for this specific job?
