My internship interview with BMW Group was short but gave me a good look into what they expect. After my resume got through and I did an online game test, I had a 45-minute video chat with a manager and HR. We talked about my technical skills and how I'd use the 'BMW way' to tackle production issues. I didn't make it to the next stage, which is usually a team chat or case study. They said I fit the culture but lacked specific software experience for their team. Still, it showed me the high bar BMW sets for interns.

Behavioral Presentation Case

The interview process started with a 30-minute initial conversation, followed by a case study that took about an hour in total. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. They asked questions about aftersales and market understanding. The case study involved a self-presentation and discussing what you see as the biggest challenges in Automotive Aftersales up to 2030. The entire process, including the presentation, was conducted in English.

So there were two interviews total. First up was a phone call, and it was in English. Then, the second one was actually in person. The phone interview was mostly about why I wanted to work there and what I'm good and not so good at. The in-person one was more about seeing if I'd fit in with the team.
