My initial interactions with BlueWaveRP were good, they set up calls with their staff before I spoke with their client. During one of those calls, they asked if this role would be my top priority. I told them I needed more info to commit to that, but I could be professional and communicative, and I asked for the same from them. They agreed. They were communicating a lot via calls, emails, and texts. They even requested a quick resume update because they were presenting me to the hiring team the next day, and I did it right away. Then... silence. After 5 days, I followed up and got a short reply. That was it. No feedback or closure, not even a thank you. An automated email came a month later. I get that the staffing business is fast and transactional, but they reached out to me. They had me talk to multiple people, update my resume, and indicated they were moving fast. If you screen candidates multiple times and present them to a client, you owe them follow-up. Recruiting firms forget candidates are customers too. Not placing someone in one role doesn't mean you shouldn't keep the door open for future opportunities. I won't work with them again and don't recommend them. Basic professionalism matters, and they failed.

I spoke with a recruiter who explained the job and company in detail. She also went over the benefits, which I liked. It's a hybrid role, which is fine with me. She did ask for a portfolio, and since I don't have one, I was disqualified.

My recruiter Cassandra reached out the day after I applied online. A few days later we had a Face Time Interview to go over my qualifications. Just a week after that, I was asked to interview for the job. It was a pretty straightforward, easy process.

So I had a pretty good start with this company, the hiring manager seemed really down to earth. After going into the office and meeting with the CEO, I never heard back, even after reaching out 3 times. They really emphasized how much they value client relationships and hated the idea of ghosting. It's kind of ironic because I see their recruiters posting about how much they hate ghosting too. It felt like a slap in the face and now I have a really bad impression of the company.
