First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at BlueTriton Brands.
Sales Representative
I had a phone interview with HR from California. Then I did a route ride to see what the job was like. When I got back, we were supposed to have an interview with two managers, but one left before it could happen. So, I had to come back later in the week. A week later, I had the second interview with two managers. It was going okay until I mentioned I was used to working hard. One of the managers told me there's no way I could work as hard as they do. I'm 43, and I've definitely worked hard as a route driver before, but he insisted that I never worked as hard as Nestlé water route drivers. The interview ended there, and I knew I wouldn't get the job. It was a really strange experience.
- You've said you work hard, but do you truly understand the level of hard work our route drivers put in?
Sales Representative
HR reached out after I applied online. They did a quick screen and then set up the main interview. The interview had two parts, one with 2 people and another with 3 people, all different levels from sales reps to the division manager. They used a standard list of questions. After that, I was invited back for a second interview, which was an unpaid ride-along with some sales reps to see if I was a good fit. It was just me and two others. The HR person kept me updated and set up each step. After the ride-along, I waited a week with no word, then emailed and called HR with no luck. I eventually left a message for the hiring manager. I never heard back, which was disappointing but I was expecting it based on other reviews.
- Tell me about your most successful sales pitch or achievement.
Sales Representative
I applied online, and after two weeks, a recruiter called me to give me a quick summary of the job. Then, I went on a ride-along to see if I liked the job, followed by an interview with one manager. The recruiter then told me I was a great candidate and in good running for the position. After that, I had another interview with two managers, and they said they would call me within a week with a decision. I didn't hear back, so I called three times before getting a generic email saying they went in another direction. When I asked why, I got no response.
- Can you tell me about a challenging situation you faced in your previous role?
