First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee.
Customer Service Representative
A week after applying and taking the job assessment, I got a call from HR asking if I was still interested and went over the position details. Then I was set up for a virtual interview the next week. Two weeks after that, I got the job offer, which was conditional on passing a background check. The background check and drug test went through fine!
- Can you share an instance where you experienced poor customer service?
- What do you consider to be three essential customer service qualities, and how have you demonstrated these in your previous roles?
- Could you describe a situation where you simplified a complex concept for someone?
Customer Service Representative
The hiring process included several interviews and computer-based tests. A training manager conducted the interview. Apparently, different departments and employees rotate to provide varied perspectives during the interviews. The interview had a relaxed and easy atmosphere, and the questions, while requiring deep thought, were manageable. The interview itself lasted about 30-45 minutes following the computer tests, which took around 15 minutes.
- Can you describe a past work experience that impacted your work environment and explain how you handled it?
Customer Service Representative
First, you take about 3 tests if your application is acceptable to move forward. Weeks later you will be invited for an interview. A week later you'll get an email advising you where to go for training.
- What would your former supervisor say about you?
