I applied for a Senior Sales role. I interviewed with the hiring manager twice, and there were other stages too, ending with a presentation. I didn't get much specific feedback, just that they hired someone else. Later I found out the hiring manager hired someone he worked with before, so it felt like the interviews were just for show.

I met with the sales management team and some potential colleagues in person at their offices in Downtown NYC. The questions were pretty standard, with a few unusual ones that felt like behavioral/reaction-based questions. Bluecore, get over yourself, you're not Google and those kinds of questions are outdated, plus they make you look pseudo-intellectual and arrogant. The people I spoke with seemed a bit self-absorbed and at times during the interview process, even rude. I definitely had reservations about their culture after meeting the team. I'm trying to be fair and not overly critical, but it's not often that you can clearly see within an hour or so of an in-person interview that a company has no interest in hiring you. It was strange because I had a lot of relevant experience for the role I was interviewing for, and I did well in the interview overall. I think they just decided they didn't "like" me. I have to say it struck me as unprofessional. I will say that HR was pretty communicative and professional throughout the process however, so that's a plus. My advice for salespeople is be careful with Bluecore. It could be a decent opportunity if they can get out of their own way. I think they're still figuring things out on a number of fronts, and the interview experience was very indicative of that. It was overall, a pretty bizarre experience and unfortunately a waste of time.

Before coming in for the in-person, I had a phone interview with the Director of Sales and an Account Executive. It was helpful talking to both individuals as they gave insight into different aspects of the sales team. I felt like I got a great grasp of the role specifically, while also getting a sense of the company's culture. The interview felt more like a conversation as opposed to a traditional Q&A.
