Product Manager
I had a phone call with the recruiter and it went fine. Then, I got a take-home assignment that took me pretty much a full day to do. I sent it back a few days later and then got ghosted. No reply at all, not even a rejection. I tried following up but they just kept ignoring me. It was a really bad experience and a total waste of my time.

Product Manager
I had a phone screen with a recruiter, then an interview with the hiring manager. The hiring manager interview went well, and I was told by the recruiter I'd hear back soon. After several days of silence, I followed up four times, and even reached out to the HR manager's boss. About a week after my last follow-up, I got a generic email saying I made it to the next round, and was given an assessment. At that point, I withdrew my application because the poor communication throughout the process was unacceptable. I found the lack of professionalism appalling, especially when candidates are left in the dark for over a month.
- What's your approach to prioritizing a product roadmap, and how do you handle changing priorities when working on multiple product initiatives?
- How do you manage shifting priorities across various product commitments?
Product Manager
So I got this take home assignment, which took me about 4-5 hours to complete. It asked me to prioritize the roadmap and do a competitive analysis. I followed up twice but never heard back, not even a rejection email, which is pretty frustrating given how much time it took.
- How would you approach prioritizing our product roadmap?
- Please perform a competitive analysis.
