I got referred and applied online in early March 2023. The whole thing took about 4 weeks, finishing up in early April. It kicked off with a quick phone chat where I just talked about myself, my job search, and why Bluecore. Then came a take-home assignment with a 3-hour time limit, featuring three problems focused on data manipulation and core data structures like strings, objects, and arrays. I put my solutions on GitHub gists. After that, I had a behavioral chat with someone from the engineering team about my career aspirations, past experiences, and what drives me. That was followed by a technical interview where I had to tackle a bunch of data manipulation problems, working with client data alongside two other engineers. Sadly, I didn't make it past the technical part :( . I think there were still two more rounds, possibly a meeting with a VP and a presentation. The recruiter was super helpful throughout, and the interviewers were genuinely nice, knowledgeable, and supportive. It was a good experience overall, and I actually enjoyed the algorithm challenges!

Coding Technical Behavioral Presentation Case
I interviewed with Bluecore around April/May 2022. It was 5 rounds over 4 weeks. First was a recruiter phone screen. Then I got a take-home assessment with 3 algorithm problems, due in 2 hours via GitHub gist. After that, a quick behavioral chat with a hiring manager. Next up was a live technical hour with 2 engineers, doing some straightforward data manipulation. The final round was a virtual 'onsite' with 3 parts: presenting a past project, discussing client-facing duties with customer success, and a chat with a VP about the company. Overall a good experience, everyone was nice. I took another offer, but Bluecore left a good impression.

It started with a quick recruiter phone call where they just rattled off info and then offered a take-home assignment to do over the weekend. The take-home was about 90 minutes with 3 algorithm problems, and someone had mentioned one of the problems was tic-tac-toe so I guess you could prep for that. I got rejected a few days later without any explanation or feedback on the take-home.
