The interview process started with a 30-minute HR screener, followed by a 30-minute chat with the Engineering Manager. Next was a take-home assessment that involved data wrangling and insight extraction, estimated to take 3-5 hours. The process concluded with virtual on-site interviews, lasting about 4 hours, covering coding, behavioral, and situational questions. HR communication was good and the process flowed well; they were prompt and respectful. However, there was an unfulfilled action item from HR at the end. A significant issue was the lack of alignment on desired skills and experiences between interviewers, leading to the virtual on-site interviews being unexpectedly different from what was prepared for based on earlier conversations. It appeared the on-site interviews lacked coordination and were not tailored to the specific role.

An HR person gave me a ring first to see if I was still interested and how my background might fit. It was nice, but it didn't move forward; they probably want someone more into marketing.
- Why are you interested in Bluecore?
Data Analyst
I went through Hired for this role. The first conversation was with the hiring manager, where we discussed the job and my salary expectations. After that, there was a phone screen, two onsite interviews, and a data assignment. They eventually made an offer that was significantly lower than what we initially discussed. When I tried to negotiate, they wouldn't budge on the offer, and that was the end of it. The data assignment was really extensive and poorly defined, with no clear goal. I tried to get some clarification, but they just said it was up to me to define things. What was supposed to be a 3-4 hour assignment ended up taking me about 20 hours because it was so open-ended. Honestly, I wouldn't recommend interviewing here. They don't respect your time and are quite unprofessional.
