Quality Management Officer
The interview process was pretty straightforward and mostly consisted of behavioral questions, which makes sense since it was an internship. I met with two managers for the interview. They also asked me about my past work experience.
- Can you share something you're proud of in your life?
- What's something you regret in your life?
- Tell me about your previous job experience.
Claims Research Associate
after applying i had an assessment, then i interviewed with the recruiter over zoom. the questions were similar to those on the application, plus some about my strengths and challenges and how I planned to overcome obstacles.
- Can you share an instance where you applied analytical skills to resolve a problem? Describe the problem and your approach to finding a solution.
- What are your key strengths?
- What challenges do you face?
Process Inquiry Analyst
The hiring process took quite a while, about a month and a half. My recruiter was great though, super nice and professional with all the emails and my questions. I applied, then did an assessment a week later, followed by an interview a week after that. Then I got an email for a background check, which took about two weeks because it's handled by an outside company that needs to verify previous jobs and degrees. After that, I had a drug test three days later once the background check was cleared. Finally, I got the job offer three days after the drug test. It was a really long process, so don't give up and make sure you check your email every single day!
- What steps have you taken to correct a wrongly processed claim?
- What is your daily claim processing volume?
- Describe a situation where you encountered difficulties while processing a claim and how you resolved it.
Inquiry Process Trainee
I applied online, and they called me in to take a test. After passing the test, they called me back for an interview. It pretty much went downhill from there. They noticed I wasn't female, and it didn't matter after that. I wasn't selected, but my former coworkers, who had less experience and I used to supervise at our previous company, were hired. They were all females. After talking to the coworkers who were selected, they also feel that BCBSAL HR discriminates based on sex and race.
- The HR rep was very snooty and unprofessional, and no question was difficult.
