First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Bloom Energy.
Software Engineer
A recruiter reached out to me for an initial screening and interview. After that, I advanced to speak with the hiring manager in a more informal setting.
- What motivates your interest in Bloom Energy?
Development Engineer
It was 8-10 rounds total, with a bunch of people like direct managers, senior managers, the director of development, the director of SCM, the HR director, a VP, and others. Since it was during the pandemic, everything was online via Zoom, with some days having like 3-4 interviews back-to-back. HR did an early screening, and they also handled the offer conversations at the end.
- Can you describe a project you were involved in that aimed at reducing costs?
- Share your experience in manufacturing.
Software Engineer Intern
I had a first call with the recruiter, and they asked me some basic stuff about my application. Then, I had a second interview with a senior software engineer. I never got a response after that second one. It wasn't a bad process for the company though.
- Can you tell me about your resume?
- Could you explain some general computer science concepts like security?
- What are the distinctions between different programming languages?
