Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Bloom Energy.
Project Manager Intern
First I got a call from the HR department at Bloom Energy asking why I applied for the position and why I want to join the company. They also asked about my past experience and why I think I'm the perfect candidate. The next day, an interview with the hiring manager was set up.
- Can you tell me about your past experience and how it relates to this role?
- What is your motivation for wanting to join Bloom Energy?
- What are your expectations for your time with our company?
Project Manager
There are lots of interviews for this job at Bloom. Get good rest and try to be yourself. Ask good questions about your job.
- Can you provide detailed examples of your experience handling difficult situations?
Project Manager
I applied online and then HR reached out for a brief chat about my experience and the role. After that, I had a phone interview with the Hiring Manager, which was more of a deep dive into my resume and the job. Then, I had an on-site with a group/panel of about 4 people. All the interviews were pretty casual and informal, without a set format or specific questions. However, the experience gave me a very poor impression of the company culture, especially since they cut the interview short halfway through.
- Can you explain your approach to managing a project?
