The interview process involved one C++ take-home assignment and then a technical interview focusing on math and system design related to games. It was a really fair process, and the interviewers were great to talk to; I had a good experience overall.

After applying, I was contacted and had a phone screening with a team member. Then, I moved on to in-person interviews, which were two rounds: the first with discipline leads, and the second with team members I would be working with.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

I interviewed for the Hearthstone Battlegrounds Game Designer II position. The interview process involved an initial call with the recruiter, followed by a meeting with a designer, a design test, and then four shorter interviews with people from different teams. The recruiter repeatedly said they'd have updates by the end of the week but never followed through. Any updates or information were only provided when I emailed them or when an internal employee prompted them.
