Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Blacklane.
Market Manager
The interview process consisted of 5 rounds. The first was with HR, followed by a meeting with my future manager. Then, I met with two members of my future team. The fourth round involved a case study with two interviewers, and the final round was with the manager of my manager.
- What are your reasons for wanting to join Blacklane?
- Can you share a past success and a past failure from your previous roles?
- Here's a case study for you.
CRM Manager
It was a 4-call process: first with a recruiter, then with the Director of CRM, followed by a Case study call, and wrapped up with a final 20-minute chat with the VP of Marketing. I'm really happy with how it all went and that they kept me updated.
- In your own words, where do you see yourself in five years?
- Can you tell us why you are interested in CRM?
- What interests you about Blacklane specifically?
Market Manager
My experience was extremely negative. While it wasn't a match, which is fine, the conversation with two managers was very disrespectful. They were chatting via text while I spoke and would sometimes laugh out loud. They also mentioned Blacklane acting unethically multiple times, which was odd.
- What are your approaches to handling drivers?
