First, there was an HR screening where they asked me general questions about my education, experience, and computer skills. Then, I had a one-hour manager phone call where we discussed the software I've used and my past projects. After that, I had an in-house interview with the hiring manager, focusing more deeply on my project management experience. A team interview followed, which was more relaxed, but the team members did ask about my experience and challenges working in a team. Finally, I interviewed with the Director and VP. They wanted to gauge how I handle myself with senior management and my potential contributions.

Got a quick reply after applying. There were three interviews. First was a phone call with the recruiter. Then a phone call with the Hiring Manager. Finally, an in-person meeting with the Hiring Manager and the Director. The interviews were pretty chill and I felt comfortable talking with them. They asked questions that were relevant to the job, nothing tricky.

I was contacted by a RIM recruiter on LinkedIn for a Project Manager position in Waterloo. I was interested but preferred Mississauga. During the initial phone screen, which was longer than 30 minutes, I discussed my location preference and willingness to commute to Waterloo. The recruiter forwarded my application to the hiring manager. After three days, the hiring manager scheduled a phone interview for me with her team of six, split into two groups. The first group included the hiring manager and two team members. They called me, but I wasn't impressed by their preparation or approach. The interview felt rushed, and my initial impression was negative. After about 25 minutes, I asked if the position could be based in Mississauga. The hiring manager gave a brief response and ended the interview. The recruiter later informed me of the decision, and I was not offered the job, which I was happy about as my perception of RIM had changed due to the interview experience.
