Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at BlackBerry.
Coop Student
There were 3 interviewers. They started by introducing the company, then we talked about my resume and they asked me some questions. After that, we went over the job details and specific requirements. The questions were focused on data engineering.
- Tell me about school projects you've worked on.
- Could you describe your experience with ETL?
- What topics in data engineering are you most interested in?
Coop Student
It was one round that was technical plus behavioral and it was solely based on the manager. It took around 30 minutes. First, they asked me to introduce myself and then picked things in my resume that they felt interested in and asked about them, and then went into technical questions based on my resume, and finally to a few behavioral questions.
- Can you explain the difference between malloc and calloc?
Intern
I was interviewed by 5 people all at the same time, which felt like a lot. It would be better if they spread it out into different rounds instead of having everyone interview me at once, as it can be stressful for candidates. Anyway, good luck with your interview!
- Questions about Angular and Front-end development were asked.
