Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at BlackBerry.
Account Manager
It was a good, structured process. The global director was very knowledgeable. HR and others were involved to round out the interview. They did a presentation and asked some subject matter questions, plus a traditional interview. Overall, it was a good experience.
- Can you share your insights into ISO27001 and explain your sales approach for it?
Enterprise Account Manager
The interview process was really disjointed. I had a 2pm call that they ended up making at 2:43pm. A face-to-face meeting scheduled for Wednesday got rescheduled to the next day with only a 30-minute heads-up. I was told in late August about a verbal offer and an October 1st start date. Then, on September 8th, they called to say the hiring manager had no openings. Around September 28th, they wanted me to do a background check for an October 14th training class. I passed the background check, but then there was more silence. I had to reach out to recruiting about my status and was told they were in a holding pattern. It was quite chaotic!
- What was your W2 salary?
Global Account Manager
I had an interview with the recruiter, then the line manager or VP Sales. After that, I interviewed with the VP EMEA. Then, I had a panel interview with 5 people (VP EMEA, SE Manager, SE, Account Manager). This included a role-play where I had to present a good value proposition to Barclays Account. Finally, I had an interview with the HR Manager.
- How would you ensure a fast ramp up to productivity?
- What relationships do you have in global banks?
