Product Manager
The interview process was fast. Started with a video interview, then had video calls with different team members. HR was unresponsive and unhelpful, which is probably why they use a video screening tool. No follow-up after the interviews and no way to contact HR. Pretty much ghosted. It's a shame because the team seemed good, but the HR experience was bad.
- Can you tell me why you are interested in this particular position?
Product Manager
This team was wonderful! While the process felt a bit longer than it needed to be with 5 interviews, I really enjoyed each conversation and the people I spoke with. I got to learn a lot about the company and was able to use my experiences to answer their questions. I was a bit bummed to hear I was overqualified, as I felt they could have figured that out earlier. They suggested I apply for more senior roles, which I did right away, but then didn't hear back. I'm guessing it's just a tough market right now, and I'd still be excited to connect with them. I really liked that they provided the interview topics beforehand, which helped me prepare, and everything felt very straightforward. The whole process was also laid out clearly from the start so I knew what to expect.
- Can you share an instance where you had to demonstrate a specific skill or experience?
- Describe a situation from your past where you had to overcome an obstacle.
- Give an example of a time you handled a complex situation.
Product Manager
The interview process kicks off with a recruiter phone screen, followed by a phone screen with the hiring manager. Then comes the on-site interviews where you'll meet the team and the hiring manager. After that, it's either an offer or you'll hear nothing back/get a rejection. The whole thing usually takes about 5 weeks, sometimes longer if you need to travel to the office.
- Tell me about your general approach to product management.
- How would you describe your leadership style?
- What's your background with Agile methodologies?
