First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Blackbaud.
Customer Success Manager
I went through 4 steps of the interview process before being declined. The initial recorded responses were surprisingly less intimidating than I initially feared. In the following part of the process, I was asked to write a response of next steps to a scenario put forth by the hiring team and submit within 24 hours. After that, I was invited to an interview with team members. The interviewees were kind and seemed to really enjoy the work they do with Blackbaud. I will say, I felt like the next steps were partly dependent on my email follow-up with the recruiter which seemed a bit strange and could potentially limit the company's hiring pool. Ultimately, I was not given an offer because the hiring manager felt that I did not meet the qualifications for the position. Since each of the steps following the initial application focused on situational based questions, I would have preferred for the hiring manager to have simply shared that information prior to advancing me to the assignment step in the interview process. It felt a bit out of place to share after weeks of next steps and time spent throughout the process.

Customer Success Manager
I had my first interview with my direct managers over teams, and then a second one with a team member, also over teams. We had a really in-depth talk about the job. It was just a good overall conversation.
- How would you manage a customer who has escalated an issue?
Customer Success Manager
I got referred by people in the company after applying online and a recruiter got in touch quickly to set up an interview. I had my first interview in April but then heard nothing for weeks. I tried reaching out to my recruiter, interviewers, and their coordinator, but it took weeks to get any info. When I finally heard back, I was told about an update after my interview, which I thought went really well. The recruiter wanted to discuss it over the phone but then I didn't hear back about the update or a meeting time for weeks. It turned out they were interested in me for a specific area but didn't have a role open then (it was late July). They said they'd keep me in mind. I recently got an email about a job opening, but I already took a job elsewhere.
- Can you share an instance where you experienced failure?
- Describe a project that you consider a success.
