It starts with a typical HR phone screen, lasting about 30 to 60 minutes depending on who calls. Next, you'll have another call with either the hiring manager or HR. Then comes a site visit. They'll give you an agenda, and you'll meet with at least three people. This is a pretty conservative place, an engineering firm. Make sure you know about the company and can tell them why you want to work at B&V. The site interviews have two goals: check if you have the necessary skills for the team and see if you'd be a good fit. It's pretty straightforward. Expect to wait a few weeks for a callback.

I applied for an IT Project Manager role online and was contacted by an HR recruiter for an initial screening. The recruiter focused on the company's history and global reach. Next, I had a Zoom interview with the hiring manager and a peer, which felt very positive. The HR rep then asked if I'd be open to speaking with systems managers, as the role involves collaboration with them. This third interview occurred about 10 days later. During this interview, two systems managers aggressively questioned a project I had worked on, making the experience quite unprofessional and leaving me angry. Since then, I haven't heard anything back, and I assume I wasn't selected, but I would have appreciated a professional courtesy of being informed.

The second interview for this role could result in an offer, another interview, or a rejection. This interview was conducted by several Project Directors, a Project Manager, and led by the Senior Project Director/Execution Director, rather than HR. They mostly asked about fundamental questions and your perspectives/experiences on various project aspects, and also explained how B&V operates. The overall vibe was friendly and informative, focusing on soft-skill technicalities.
