& Process

There were 3 phone interviews scheduled. Normally, but since I seemed like a good fit for another team, I ended up interviewing with 2 different PMs. The first was a screening about basic qualifications, how I found out about the role, and why I’m interested in B&V (they were extremely warm to talk to). The second part had two calls: 2a. A call with the 1st PM about being okay with travel, location, day-to-day duties, interest in a Masters, and their role in oversight. 2b. A call with the 2nd PM about the same topics, which happened almost 2 weeks after the first call. A third interview (TBA) is scheduled, but I won't be able to update you all until after it. I suggest doing research on what an analyst role entails and figuring out how strategic planning roles benefit the organization and what you can bring to it. Ask a lot of questions, that’s what we do anyways :)

Company seemed very interested at first. Had a phone screen with the recruiter and then a video call with a team member. The team member didn't turn on their camera and just asked me a bunch of yes/no questions and then ended the interview. They didn't ask me anything about my skills or experience. Later, the recruiter told me they were still looking for candidates to move to the next round and that the hiring manager wasn't sold on anyone yet. They said I was 'in the middle somewhere.' This went on for a few months. The recruiter hasn't reached out. I was also mis-gendered a few times. Didn't feel like a real candidate in the running.

Had a great interview experience. I talked with 3-4 people one-on-one. The interviewers were really open and friendly. They really wanted to know about my experience in the utility/energy or water industry, and if I had any engineering background.
