First, there was a recruiter call. The main focus was the technical interview. The first technical interview felt a bit outdated and not very useful. It involved a whiteboard exercise where I had to review a fake PR, and questions about complexity and concurrency. Then, I was asked to complete a small to-do list task. It's still being discussed whether using Copilot is allowed. After that, there was a design exercise, covering topics like video streaming, messaging, or Uber Eats.

Behavioral Coding

I was reached out on LinkedIn by a recruiter who mentioned upcoming internship openings. After applying online, I had an initial chat with that same recruiter. They asked about my background, my connection to the company, and my previous work, with a particular focus on my Symfony2 experience since their codebase was primarily built with it. The interview started in French but transitioned to English. Next, I was given a coding test to build a basic Symfony2 web app using the Blablacar API within a 3-hour timeframe. Unfortunately, I was later informed I didn't get the role. The subsequent stage would have been an on-site technical interview, but they offered a remote Skype session as I was living abroad.

Technical Case

Waste my time. Not professional, the interviewer cannot speak english well. They only care about business cases, they don't have ability to identify good candidate. From their questions, I didn't see that they have enough technical skills to interview me. what a fu!!
