First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at BlaBlaCar.
Business Development Manager
I went through about 10 interviews in total. First, I submitted my CV and answered 3-5 questions online on Linkedin and Smartrecruiter. Then, there was an online English test. After that, a phone or video interview in French. This was followed by interviews with the team in English, and then a business case study that I had a week to prepare. I then presented my business case to the BlaBlaCar team. Next, I had interviews with my direct manager in English and French, and then with other managers related to the position in French. Finally, I interviewed with the COO/CEO, and then they did a reference check. The whole process took about 4 months, with most interviews being in English, but some were in French.

Business Development Manager
The interview kicked off with an online analytical BlaBlaTest, consisting of 11 questions that took about 20 minutes. The test was of average difficulty, but the user interface was really bad, making it hard to read the info. About 10 days later, I had an interview with the LatAm Manager. He asked a couple of questions about my background and then presented a business case verbally. It was an undocumented question with no supporting data. I was allowed to ask clarifying questions and had less than five minutes to come up with a solution. We then discussed it for about 40 minutes. Interestingly, he changed the initial question from 'should we advertise on X platform?' to 'how much would you pay for customer acquisition?'. The interview lacked structure and was conducted in a mix of English and Spanish. The interviewer didn't seem to have much experience with people management or startups. Finally, I had a brief interview with the Country Manager (Mexico), who was quite sharp and asked questions pertinent to my experience and the job.
