I had 2 interview processes with Blablacar for similar roles. For the first one, I applied online on April 5th, 2021. On April 16th, I got an invitation for a test with 10 multiple-choice questions that required quick calculations. On April 21st, I had a video call with talent acquisition where they asked standard questions and scheduled the next interview. On April 26th, I had a video call with the hiring manager. We did a case study on the spot, asking for assumptions without much data, like estimating active users from 50 million total users. On May 3rd, I was told I passed but someone else was in the final round, and they asked me to wait. On May 17th, they informed me that the other candidate accepted the offer, so they wouldn't proceed with me. For the second process, I applied on May 31st. On June 11th, I had a video call directly with the hiring manager. She asked about my current job and work examples. She said I could move forward, but we had to wait for a senior manager who was on vacation. On June 25th, I received the case study material and had 5 days to send a presentation using SQL/R/Python on 40K lines of data. The questions weren't hard but required research and assumptions. On July 2nd, due to the senior manager being sick, I did the presentation with the initial hiring manager. There was discussion and open questions, such as our business model. On July 7th, they called to say I wasn't qualified enough, but they gave feedback. It seems like good luck is needed to get through the process in 20-25 days.

The interview process was generally positive. The staff kept me updated on my progress and were kind enough to send a timely rejection letter, which I appreciate.

Math test for initial screening. HR interview if the test results are positive. Then a manager interview with a complex business case lasting about 1 hour. If not successful, a final stage with a take-home case study to prepare over 2 days and then present in an interview.
