I had two interviews for the tax internship. The first was with a tax partner in Kansas City over Zoom, and they were really nice and didn't ask any tough questions. Then I moved to the Dallas office and had another Zoom interview with a tax partner there who was also super nice. Even though I usually get nervous, the whole process felt really stress-free and conversational. I got an offer the day after the second interview.

I had a phone chat first with the recruiting manager and then with a partner, after which I was invited to an in-person interview. It was a good interview for me to check out the opportunity and for them to get a good understanding of my background, experience and skills, and career goals. But, after the interview, I got neither an offer nor a rejection; they just stopped responding, even after I followed up with the recruiter a couple of times. This was disappointing.

I first submitted my goals and personal details through my college's career website. Then, the company selected a select group of students from the business school's website for interviews. These interviews took place at my college's MBA office and lasted about 30 minutes. Although it was for an internship, the interviewer also wanted to know when I would be done with school, as they were interested in potentially hiring me full-time.
