So I interviewed at the BKD office in Indianapolis. The people there were super nice. The day started with about an hour where they explained the whole interview process to everyone, kind of like a group session. Then, partner-level interviews happened for about an hour. When you weren't interviewing, you could hang out with the staff and other interns. After the interviews, we had lunch, which was also part of the interview. We sat at tables with a mix of interns and managers/partners, and just had casual chats. Remember, this lunch is part of the interview, so stay sharp, but it's okay to talk about stuff besides accounting. They seemed really friendly and emphasized having good working relationships and a team atmosphere.

I applied on campus in the spring before the internship. If you get an interview on campus, they have a dinner the night before with other applicants and current staff accountants and maybe the partner you'll interview with. The on-campus interview felt more like a chat than actual questions. About a week later, I found out I was invited for an in-office interview. The day before that, the company puts you up in a hotel in San Antonio (even if you live here) and you go to another dinner with staff accountants and partners. The next day is a full day of interviews, from 8-5, with 3 interviews, some info sessions, and lunch. During the third interview, I was told I got the internship.

Campus recruiting and then an interview on campus. A recruiter will come down to campus and interview the potential candidates. Candidates are then matched up to a location within that particular region.
