First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Bizzabo.
Backend Engineer
We did a Zoom interview because of covid-19. We had a long chat about my past 2 positions. The interviewer was rude about my degree and my developer path. After that, we went for the technical interview. I answered a question well, but he wanted it done a different way, which I struggled with. The interview ended right on time, and I never heard back from the recruiter or interviewer for over a month.
- Given an array of numbers of any length and a random number, move the first X items to the end of the list.
Backend Engineer
The interview had a few 2-on-1 chats, which were all pretty nice. After introductions, I got a take-home task that took me a few hours. Then, a technical interview came up where I talked about my solution and answered some standard tech questions. After that, I met more folks from different teams to see if it was a good match.
- What enhancements would you suggest for your take-home assignment implementation?
- Can you explain the reasoning behind the technical decisions made in your assignment?
- Could you answer some typical technical interview questions?
Backend Developer
had a quick call with HR. Then, a 1-hour get-to-know-each-other chat where they talked about the company and asked what I was looking for. It was a friendly chat with no technical questions. If there's a match, the next step is a technical interview.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- Could you tell us about your previous work experience?
- What were your responsibilities in your past roles?
