First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at BizLibrary.
Account Executive
HR Manager reached out because I applied. First, I had a 30 minute chat with the HR Manager. Then, I got to talk to the sales manager, who was really upfront. The third round involved giving a product demo using their sales presentation. HR Manager let me know I didn't move on to the next round.
- Can you describe your sales process?
Motion Graphic Designer
First, had a screening call with HR manager. Then, interviewed with the creative director and another motion designer. Finally, was given a motion graphics project to complete over the course of a week. The whole process took about a month, and the team was really quick and thorough with responses.
- Can you walk me through the steps involved in creating a motion graphic video, from the initial concept all the way to the final product?
Customer Success Manager
Went through 5 interviews. At times seems like they did not know what they were doing, as I was told twice that an interview would be the "final" one only to have to jump through additional hoops. I was still interested in the job, but after all that, calling my references and telling me they would send an offer letter in a day or two. Instead I heard nothing for a week and was then told they would not be moving forward on the position. Nice people there from what I can tell, but the interview process was hectic and seems like they are having some issues internal that could complicate things if you apply.
- What qualities do you look for in a manager?
Product Support Lead
HR Recruiter reached out to me about my experience and online profile. I felt qualified and excited because the job description seemed like a good fit. The initial phone screen with the recruiter went really well. I sent my resume over, which they shared with the hiring manager, and soon after, I got an invite for a phone interview with them. That interview also went well, with typical questions and a pleasant experience. I asked about what's next, and the hiring manager said the recruiter would call about an on-site interview. It was scheduled within a few days. If you're going for this role and get to the on-site, hope you're still qualified when you get there... maybe I just didn't get the job qualifications or realize that going through 3 rounds didn't mean I was actually qualified.
- Turn back to back with one of the team members you'd be working with and guide them through constructing a gnome puzzle. This demonstrates your teaching skills, simulating a telephone training session with a client.
- As I watch, use my keyboard and computer to write an update SQL query/statement to resolve an issue typically experienced by the staff who already know the database, product, tables, and variables. This is to show your problem-solving thought process.
