Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Bitglass.
Software Engineer
I had an initial chat where we did introductions and then I discussed my past projects in detail. They asked for more specifics on my performance in those projects and also threw in some easy coding and data structure questions over the phone.
- Could you give me an easy LeetCode style question?
- What is your availability to start?
- Do you have a question about data structures?
Software Engineer
I applied through a recruiter. I had an onsite interview for Bitglass in San Jose. The interviewer was 30 minutes late. The interview was about 3 hours long, I met with 3 different senior engineers.
- Can you explain how pointers work in C?
Software Developer
I had two phone interviews initially, and then they invited me to their office for an onsite. The onsite was about 4 hours long, with four separate interviews. The first one was basically just going over my resume. The other three mixed resume review with some whiteboarding. I was a bit surprised they spent so much time on my resume instead of asking more actual coding questions.
- Regarding parsing data from a large text file, what would be your approach to optimize it?
