It was a pretty straightforward and chill interview that lasted about an hour. The person interviewing me could answer all my questions. They talked about the job duties, the work hours, how much you get paid, and the benefits. They also explained the different insurance products they offer.

Behavioral Presentation

There were 2 interviews. The first one was pretty much a get-to-know-you type of interview. They asked some general character-based questions to get a feel for your personality. Then they gave you an overview of the company, its history, its market, and the general nature of the positions they're hiring for. The 2nd interview is more of a "are you a good fit" for this role. The questions are fairly general, but the interviewer really wants to see if you have the drive to succeed since the position is basically a sales-based, commission style role, so you need to be someone with drive.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • Would you be okay with visiting clients at their homes?
  • Do you possess enough drive to complete tasks independently without direct supervision?
  • What makes you believe you are a suitable candidate for this position?

Behavioral Technical Presentation

So I did this zoom interview after watching an online presentation and filling out a survey. It was about 40 minutes, and mostly pretty standard stuff. But near the end, after they told me 'congratulations you're a good fit,' we got into the details about getting the state insurance license. They pointed me to a specific website for training, which I'd have to pay about $90 for. I said I wanted a day or so to check out that and other training options, and that I wouldn't be enrolling in their recommended program right away (so no $90 payment). Then, the interview just ended really abruptly.

Behavioral Presentation

It had three steps. First was a prescreening to insure that you have the minimum personality skills. Second step is a quick overview about the company, your responsibilities and compensation. The Third step, is a check in with the hiring manager to see if you are still interested in moving forward with the interview process now that you know the company. The fourth step is a call-back the following day.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • How would you rate your leadership skills on a scale of 1 to 10, and why?
  • What motivates you?
  • What about the presentation excited you, and why?
