The college placement process of Birlasoft was made of the following rounds: 1) The first round consisted of a group discussion on current affairs and abstract topics. My group got the abstract topic 'Impression vs Expression'. This round is to gauge student participation and level of authority over the direction of the discussion. 2) The second round was with a subject matter expert on the logistics activities of Birlasoft. This is to gauge ascertain the student's level of preparedness in regards to company activities and their responsibilities in the decision making. 3) The final Round was an HR interaction for personality assessment for the candidates.

I had a telephonic call for a Manager position. The interviewer called 15 minutes early, around 6:15 PM for a 6:30 PM scheduled slot. The interview felt like talking to a robot and the interviewer was only looking for specific answers. They seemed very opinionated and rejected my scientific viewpoints, rushing through the questions without proper introduction. It's important to be familiar with the BEI process for behavioral/psychology-based roles.
