I applied for the software engineer role in Amsterdam. The whole process took about 9 weeks, not counting holidays. It involved an HR screening, a general technical interview, a live coding challenge, a system design round, an interview with the VP of Engineering focusing on behavioral questions, and finally, an interview with the CTO. The recruiter was super helpful, sending detailed info before each stage and scheduling check-ins. After the offer, there was also a background check that lasted about 2.5 weeks, which seems normal for companies of this size.

I had a three-stage interview process. First, an HR call, then a chat with the manager where they asked about things I'm proud of. That second interview felt good, very professional and relaxed. But the third interview was a pair programming thing that went sideways. I couldn't understand the questions, and they weren't answering my questions. It felt tense, and then they just told me to code without me really getting the problem. An hour of silence followed, which was weird. So, the second interview was great, but the third one was just odd. No other rounds after that. Mixed experience, really.

I applied online for the Software Engineer role and got an interview invite super fast, like 30 mins after applying, which was pretty cool given MB's size. First, I had a call with HR, and then moved on to a coding challenge. Honestly, I didn't nail it, but they still wanted to proceed. The next step was a tech interview with two senior engineers. Unfortunately, this interview felt really unprofessional and kinda toxic. They asked some decent questions, but their reactions to my answers were really off. For example, when I explained my current work and its test coverage, they just started laughing and said it couldn't be possible. Seriously, I'd suggest getting some more mature people on the team – maturity isn't just about age, you know.
