So, I had two interviews that were pretty standard behavioral ones. After the first one, they told me I did well and they'd move me to the next round fast. That was after I bugged them because I hadn't heard back for over a week. After the second interview, the recruiter said they'd let me know about next steps in 1-2 weeks. I followed up but got no reply.

The hiring process at Monticello was long and unorganized. It seemed like they wanted to get information about methodologies used at other consulting firms, not about my qualifications. Some weird things that happened: 1. They recorded all phone interviews. 2. I had six phone interviews without meeting anyone in person, which is unusual because usually, I'd have multiple in-person interviews by this point. 3. They asked for my references' contact info before any in-person interviews, which feels too early. 4. Some interviewers were late; one made me wait 40 minutes and I was asked to wait instead of rescheduling, and then someone else interviewed me. I eventually withdrew because the process kept dragging on.

Expect multiple calls, in-person meetings, and around 6 different assessments. They take a very long time to get back to you, with long quiet periods between follow-ups. It felt like a complete waste of time and the most inefficient interview process I've been through. I wouldn't recommend it unless you have a lot of free time and are willing to take a chance on maybe getting the job.

It was a really thorough and informative interview process. I got to talk to some really high-level people, even the CEO, and they answered my questions straight up. After a couple of phone interviews, I had to do some technical and project management assessments. Doing that part made me realize Monticello really wants people who know their stuff and can give clients top-notch expertise.
