Project Manager
I applied online and heard back from a recruiter about 3-4 weeks later. The recruiter was really nice and wanted to get a better understanding of my experience to see if it was a good match. The second interview was a big one with 13 people over 1.5 hours via Skype. It was broken down into 3 sessions of 30 minutes each, with 3-5 people in each session. They asked the usual interview questions. It was a really competitive process since the interviewers were other PMs, Managers, and the Director of PM. I was told they interviewed over 20 candidates for only 2 open positions. The recruiter contacted me a week later with an offer and I started about 3 weeks after that. I was the first person in their group to be hired as a fully remote employee.

Senior Project Manager
First, I had a call with the recruiter. Then, the hiring manager called me. Finally, I went in person to interview with the hiring manager and a director. Oh, and after I got the offer, they changed my start date four times.

Project Manager
The recruiter call was super fast from application to phone interview. The phone interview felt a bit scripted, but the recruiter was nice. I interviewed with two panels: one of peer PMs, and another with 2 Senior PMs and a Manager of Project Management. The questions were from a script and were behavioral. They made me an offer, but for a different position and department, and for less than my salary minimum. I spoke with the hiring manager for the new role, which felt like an interview after an offer. The company seems very rigid with things like scorecards and communication templates. They spin this inflexibility as 'perks.' I'd stay away if you want flexibility; it feels micro-managed.
- What's your strategy for managing multiple competing deadlines?
