Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at BioNTech.
Associate Director
The interview process was structured and organized, with a generally appreciative and pleasant atmosphere. The next steps were explained, and the time until feedback was quite short. Overall, a professional approach.
- How do you prepare for an escalation meeting?
Associate Director
After applying online, I was contacted within 2 weeks and an interview was scheduled for a month later. It lasted an hour with three line managers. They described the job duties and asked about my qualifications. After the interview, they didn't get back to me within the promised 2-3 weeks and also didn't answer my emails about my status. Finally, I received a rejection almost 2 months after the first interview.
- Why do you want to work for Biontech?
- What are your three weaknesses?
Associate
The atmosphere was relaxed and very friendly, it was more of a pleasant, casual dialogue. First, my resume was discussed, with only the relevant activities I performed at my previous employer being discussed in more detail. Afterwards, the department was introduced, an organizational chart (general) was shown (which I found very helpful), and the expectations of the department regarding my person were mentioned.
- What do you understand the advertised position to entail?
