Had a good chat with the recruiter, then a zoom call with the Hiring manager a couple of days later. Things seemed to go well. They then set up a first team interview with two interviewers. They seemed impressed with my performance. Then they set up a second round of team interviews. I waited for a couple of weeks with no word. I followed up with the hiring manager, but they didn't reply to my email. When I reached out to the Hiring recruiter, they told me they decided to go with an internal candidate and apologized for not letting me know. I really feel candidates should be told, even if they're going with someone else or an internal person.

Technical Behavioral Presentation

I was flown in for an R&D position. There were about 6-7 interviewers and a presentation. The director seemed pretty relaxed about it all, and the hiring manager was really keen to chat and learn more about me. Everyone was super nice and made me feel comfortable. The whole thing seemed to focus heavily on one particular issue, with most interviewers bringing it up repeatedly. However, a couple of interviewers were a bit resistant to bringing in a new person, questioning my skills and knowledge from the get-go, asking things like, 'What makes you think you can do this?'

Finally, you'll have one-on-one meetings with the team members you'll be working with and also people from other departments you'll likely interact with.
