The interview was nice and the interviewers were always kind and professional. They asked me about myself, my background, why I wanted that specific job, and whether I wanted to stay in Switzerland.

I was contacted by a staffing agency about two months after applying for the Manufacturing Associate role at Biogen Idec. The interview was a round-robin format where I met with four different manufacturing managers, each for about 15 minutes. Since I was a recent graduate with no prior work experience, they focused on my ability to work in a team. I brought up my group projects from school, including how we handled and resolved conflicts that arose. The managers described their departments' roles and asked about my academic background and any experience related to biomanufacturing. One manager asked some technical questions. They asked about how I would handle a deviation scenario requiring explanations to supervisors and management. I mentioned my lack of purification experience but expressed my eagerness to learn. I received the job offer the following day. My advice is to know your resume thoroughly, be ready to explain everything on it, highlight your skills, and show enthusiasm for learning new things.

I worked as a temp at biogen for about 8 months, and then a permanent position opened up. I applied for it since I wanted to change my temp status. I saw the posting internally and got an email from the HR person who was setting up the interviews. She told me when and where to go for the interview in another building. It was a panel interview with 3 managers/supervisors from the department I was applying for. After the interview, I left and they stayed to discuss.
