Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Biogen.
Data Scientist Intern
It was two end-to-end interviews, 30 minutes each. Both interviewers were data scientists and they focused a lot on my resume experience. Not many technique questions beyond the resume.
- Could you detail a project from your resume?
- What is your experience with LLMs?
Data Scientist
the interview process wasn't bad, don't stress it. If you move forward, the next step is typically a technical or skills-based interview, where you might be asked to solve problems, discuss past experiences, or complete an assignment. Then comes a behavioral or panel interview with the hiring manager and potential team members, focusing on how you’ve handled various situations and whether you’d mesh well with the team. In some cases, there's a final round, such as a site visit or casual conversation with leadership, where you get a feel for the company culture.
- Why should I be accepted?
Data Scientist
I was interviewed two months ago and they never gave me a sure answer. They told me very positive feedback one month ago and said they would give me an answer one week after that, but actually delayed 3 weeks. Until today they just said they had the position filled. So they just put you as a backup, totally waste my time.
- The manager gave me a one page SAS programming test, which was very easy.
